FAQ Answered Here:

Q: How much does it cost?

A: $532 AUD for an once in a lifetime experience that you will not regret!

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: Towel, bathing suit, GoPro (underwater camera) if you have one, but if you don’t have one you have the option to hire one on board.

Q: What if we don’t see sharks?

A: This is the risk you are taking when booking a shark dive. You will get a $100 refund and $200 off (for adults) your next charter. Keep in mind - we got to the Neptune Islands around 9:30/10:00am and did not see sharks until 3:15pm. However, once sharks were sighted, the crew did an incredible job of getting everyone in and out of the cage. Remember they are wild animals and we are in their home. They can come and go as they please.

Q: How many people go in the cage at once?

A: I went during the winter (down season) and they used their smaller vessel. For us it was only, 5 people at a time. They do a great job of rotating and making sure there is ample time in the cage with the sharks. It is also really awesome to be on board and watch the sharks from above water too.

Q: I’ve never scuba dived before? Will I be okay?

A: It is no problem if you have no scuba diving experience. You do not need to worry. It is super easy and you only go about 5 feet underwater.

If you aren't already convinced to book your shark dive now, don’t worry, Calypso Star Charters phone is open

24 HOURS

YES - you heard me right. You can call them at all hours of the day!!! Obviously be courteous, but i love that they keep their lines open. this shows their customer first mentality. The weekend we booked to go shark diving had some of the worst weather South Australia had the whole winter. We had some crazy questions due to the extreme weather and they answered them all. they helped us book last minute (3 days ahead of time) and reassured us.

Pro tip: if you do get motion sickness don’t forget to take your meds before hand! I am super prone to motion sickness, and even though I did take my meds before I still got really sick. However, I did not let it ruin my day! The staff and my dear friend, Soriah, helped me all day! Even though I got sick, I would do it again in a heart beat.

HAPPY DIVING!
