A Getaway Adventure with Getaway House

Hi friends! I recently visited Getaway House outside of Charlotte / Raleigh and was blown away by the ease of check in / check out (contactless too), the cleanliness, the minimalist approach to the tiny home, and just Getaway’s overall hospitality. Here is my guide to booking your next GETAWAY! Make sure to read to the end because I have a discount code too for you to save on your next Getaway trip! Here’s to choosing rest and recharging in the craziness of 2020.

XO, Ky

WHAT is Getaway house?

Getaway was created to give people time, space, and permission to be off. Getaway’s tiny cabins in nature provide a break from the city, technology, and work, so that you can recharge and reconnect to who and what matters most.

What to expect:

You can check in anytime after 3 PM on your day of arrival. Check out is at 11 AM. You’ll receive the exact location of our outpost in your booking confirmation email. You will also receive an email with your cabin name and personalized entry code (we’ll also text you your code) the day your stay begins. I received a text a week before my stay just as a check in (see below). I loved that they did this. It made the experience super personal and I was able to ask any and all questions I had. Getaway also responded to me very quickly.

On your day of arrival, getting into your cabin is super easy. Once you reach your cabin, simply enter the code on the door and you are good to go. This contactless check in / check out was super smooth and made me feel extra safe during these COVID times.

You can also expect to have limited cell reception once you get to the outpost. After all you this getaway is supposed to help you unplug. Don’t worry they have a telephone in each cabin where you can call Getaway with any questions that might come up during your stay.

You can book either a single bed (which would fit 2 adults comfortably) or two bunk beds (which would fit 4 adults comfortably). You can also bring your dog along for this Getaway too.

What to bring:
